Transportation Team

 

 

In most situations, the on-scene coroner investigator will transport the deceased person away from the scene if more investigation needs to be done where the body is concerned, such as toxicology, autopsy, or to make positive identification.   On occasions when the person needs to be transported out of the county, our transportation team handles that function. The transport team is also used when investigators are committed to other calls or when other counties need a gifted body donation brought to our facility.  The transportation team is vital to keeping the workflow organized while ensuring timely responses to out-of-county cases.
